As many of our products are made from natural or outdoor-grade materials, variations and changes can occur with use and exposure to environmental conditions. These are considered normal characteristics and not faults.

POWDER-COATED ALUMINIUM

While highly resistant to rust, the finish can be affected over time by environmental factors such as salt air, moisture, and general use.

Care & Maintenance

• Clean regularly every 8 weeks using a soft cloth, mild soap, and water

• Rinse thoroughly to remove any residue and dry with a soft towel

• In coastal areas, rinse more frequently to remove salt deposits

• A diluted solution of white vinegar and water may be used to remove water spots

• Avoid harsh, abrasive, or solvent-based cleaners

Recommendations

• Avoid dragging furniture across surfaces to prevent damage to the finish

• Wipe down excess water to help maintain the finish over time

POWDER-COATED STEEL FRAME

Some of our outdoor pieces feature powder-coated steel frames, chosen for their strength and stability.

Characteristics

• Strong, heavy-duty material providing excellent structural support

• Heavier than aluminium frames, with a solid, durable feel

• Powder-coated finish offers protection against the elements

• Not suitable for beachside or high-salt environments

• Not warranted for use within 12 km of breaking surf conditions

Care & Maintenance

• Clean regularly using a soft cloth, mild soap, and water

• Rinse thoroughly and dry completely after cleaning

• Avoid abrasive, harsh, or solvent-based cleaners

• Avoid scratching or chipping the surface, as this may expose the metal underneath

Recommendations

• Regularly inspect for chips or damage and address promptly

• Position in sheltered areas where possible to extend lifespan

PREMIUM TEAK

Teak is a natural material valued for its strength, durability, and unique grain. Each piece will vary in colour and texture. Over time, teak will naturally weather to a soft silver-grey patina when exposed to sunlight and outdoor conditions.

Characteristics

• Natural expansion and contraction may occur with changes in climate

• Fine cracks or grain movement may develop over time (this does not affect strength or durability)

• Natural oils may rise to the surface in humid conditions, appearing as marks

Care & Maintenance

• Clean periodically with a damp cloth

• Use a suitable teak cleaner for deeper cleaning

• Brush in the direction of the grain when cleaning

• Light sanding with fine sandpaper can restore the surface if required

Recommendations

• Apply teak sealer to help maintain original colour

• Sealing can be arranged prior to delivery or applied post-purchase

• Regular cleaning helps prevent mould or mildew build-up

OUTDOOR FABRICS & UPHOLSTERY

Most of our outdoor cushions and upholstery are made from premium-grade solution-dyed acrylic fabrics designed to resist fading, moisture, and general outdoor conditions.

Characteristics

• Resistant to stains, mildew, and UV exposure

• Mould and mildew may still form if dirt and moisture are left untreated

Care & Maintenance

• Brush off loose dirt regularly using a soft brush

• Clean with mild soap and warm water

• Rinse thoroughly after cleaning

• Allow fabric to dry completely before reuse

• Remove cushions during extended wet weather where possible

Many sofas feature removable covers designed for easier cleaning and long-term care. Depending on the fabric, covers are either machine washable or dry clean only — always refer to the care label.
